The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs Wedding | Chester Springs, PA | Alex + Leslie

So much beautiful, vibrant color. We have seen some beautiful combinations this summer, but Alex and Leslie's wedding color palette was just so vibrant and a favorite for this photographer. The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs did not disappoint for a venue to showcase that palette either. Wow. So much natural light and gorgeous grounds.

Alex moved around like a man on a mission Saturday morning. He talked with vendors, greeted family, and could be seen running back and forth between the groom's suite and various other parts of the estate. Nerves may have had something to do with it. But when he saw Leslie in her dress during a quiet moment before the ceremony, his demeanor changed significantly. The man on a mission now seemed more relaxed, filled up, and ready to simply marry his bride.

Alex and Leslie, thank you for including us on such a beautiful day in your lives! To hear you and your family talk about your relationship, it seems the two of you are a perfect fit. I LOVE that you have evolved together as a couple, even turning Alex into a cat-lover. From our limited experience as a married couple, we have found the other person does change you in so many ways--even in the details of likes and dislikes. It's so much fun to discover new things together, and I hope for you that you never stop doing so. We have also found you need to give a lot of grace in this area too! Grace is important in a marriage and not something to take advantage of. Hold on to that truth! Be blessed.

Family Life of Penns Valley | Centre Hall, PA Wedding | Salim + Jenny

Dark thunderclouds roll in, threatening to spill raindrops on the gathered guests. Thunder rumbles and distant lightning bolts seem to creep closer and closer as the ceremony progresses. The couple continues to serve communion to each of their guests, everyone glancing at the sky. A bride's worst nightmare? Maybe. But not this day. This day the approaching storm only brought a cool breeze and cloud cover on a hot day, a few sprinkles as the newlyweds kissed, and a powerful reminder that the Lord is present when two of his children are made one. After the ceremony ended and guests had taken shelter in the pavilion, the skies opened up and released the downpour the earth so greatly needed. We are in farm country after all!

Not only did we get the rain everyone has been praying for, two amazing people were married. Salim and Jenny had so many unique, special moments throughout their day. Jenny put on her mother's wedding gown before dressing in her own. The couple left ample room in their reception for chatter and mingling, a true example of their desire to know people. The Mason-jar favors were made by Jenny's sister, Leah. All in all, it was a day unique to this wonderful couple and their devotion to both God and their loved ones. Isn't that what a wedding is really all about?

Salim and Jenny, we are so proud of you! Your care for others is not just evident in the way you converse with them, but it was evident in the tiniest details of your wedding day. You love others well. We hope your new life together in the great state of Iowa is full of blessing and excitement. May the Lord always be your rock. Let His strength hold you in times of weakness, and let His joy pervade every moment. Blessings to you both!

The Match Factory Wedding | Bellefonte, PA | Ryan + Sydney

Bellefonte never looks better than when a blushing bride glides through Talleyrand Park. Couldn't tell you how many times that has happened, but on Saturday, I have to say it was true.

Sydney was radiant in her lovely lace gown, and the COLORS! Oh so many gorgeous colors. The bouquet says it all. Purple, pink, red, yellow, green...they may have even been as vibrant as the laughs that the bridal party shared throughout the day. All the happiness was quite contagious, and spilled over into the reception where Sydney's sister made one of the best maid of honor "speeches" (videos?) I have ever seen.

I must add, I think these two need to win an award for how well-planned their day was. We were consistently running ahead of schedule and, if you can even count it, the only problem was a button repair on Ryan's jacket. I was impressed. Organization is a beautiful thing friends!

Ryan and Sydney, thank you for a wonderful day. The two of you are amazing together and you obviously bring so much joy to those around you. Continue to spread the happiness and be blessed!
